Welcome to Yoga 2028
We are located in the heart of Downtown Hollywood on Hollywood Blvd. We invite you to be a part of a unique environment that we have actively been a part of in this vibrant community for more than 30 years.
We are located within the walls of Aikido of South Florida, and share the incredible environment that evokes the calmness of Zen within us. This, in turn, facilitates our individual needs to deepen our understanding of ourselves. Right association equals the correct path to right decisions in your journey on the right path.

Yoga Etiquette and Guidelines
1) Please Arrive at Least 10 minutes Before Class
This allows plenty of time to settle in, get centered, and prepare for practice. Unroll your mat quietly, so as not to disturb students who are already there. If you are unavoidably late, please enter the classroom as quietly as possible to avoid disrupting the session, and if for some reason, you have to leave class early, please inform your teacher in advance and be conscious of disturbing the class when leaving. Observe silence before, during, and after practice.
2) Remove Your Shoes
Remove shoes and socks before entering the mat area and place them neatly in front. Classes are practice with bare feet so please make sure your feet are clean as well before you are on your way.
3) Turn off your Cell Phones.
Do not place them on vibrate- We prefer you leave your phone in the change room with your belongings to ensure no distractions.
4) Respect your Body and know your limits
For your safety do not force yourself to attain poses. It will come in time and you need to be patient. Please inform your instructor of any injuries or recent surgeries that you have had, even if you are not currently experiencing pain.
5) Show Consideration for Others
Personal hygiene is an integral part of practicing yoga. Ensure that you and your mat are clean before practice. All, please avoid wearing heavy fragrances and perfumes to class as this may disturb the practice of others around you.
6) Respect Other’s Space
Please arrange your mat in line with the other students in class. This helps your instructor see your alignment and makes it easier for them to navigate around the room. Allow room for other students to come in to set up. Refrain from unnecessary talking, sounds, groans and moans. Do not chew gum — it’s distracting and unsafe.
7) Return Items After Class
If you’ve used zafus, bolsters, mats or any other item place them back the way you found them. If you borrowed a mat from the studio, wipe it down before replacing it. However, ideally you should bring your own.
Want to deepen your practice?
Come and join our Mindfulness Meditation class held every Saturday at Aikido of South Florida. You will be learning and practicing Anapana meditation, or meditation on the breath, which is the first step on the path of Vipassana, or insight meditation.
